We thought that by this time in the summer, we might all be running out of summer activity ideas and need to be inspired. So, that’s our topic this week.
I find summer to be SO MUCH simpler than winter. No coats, hours outside playing with dirt and water, we can walk places…. So, I don’t have any really new ideas. I always need to be inspired to stop being so busy and do the simpler things in life. This post is as much to remind me how I’d like to be spending our summer by running less errands and lingering more on the following activities:
-hanging out at a beach area (here it’s only lakes, of course!)
-strawberry picking (I would generally recommend this for children 20 mo. and up, but plan on them eating A LOT of fruit)
-small pool and lots of splashing
-reading more (I just reserved a new batch of books at the library)
Here’s a sweet pic of Ruth from last summer wearing not one, but two dresses in her pool.
